All over Quebec, mountain biking as cross country is a sport that’s still growing fast, and trail quality has been steadily improving from year to year. A stone’s throw from a city, treat yourself to a superb countryside setting, between mountain and forest.  

Parc régional du Massif du sud

Discover the Parc du Massif du Sud and its beautiful region Chauidières-Appalaches. Winter landscapes are magical. Cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, Hok skiing, and slipping on are in the spotlight. In summer, hiking, mountain biking, hiking, and accommodation in nature (camping, refuge and ready-to-camp) are in the spotlight. The ready-to-camp accommodations provide an opportunity for renewal to reconnect with nature.

The Massif du Sud Regional Park is a must. This outdoor destination stands out for its exceptional environment and the diversity of its recreational offer. Think about it!

Characterized by its mountainous massif reaching 917m above sea level, a vast network of paths crosses the valleys of the park and leads you to surprising panoramas. The old-growth forests, flamboyant in the fall, contrast with the purity of the crystal-clear waters of rivers.

Traversée Charlevoix

A raid in the boreal forest: a real challenge!

105 kilometers of trails

La Traversée de Charlevoix is a 105 km raid in the Charlevoix hinterland, in the heart of the World Biosphere Reserve. This true challenge is intended for advanced hikers and skiers and expert cyclists. Off-piste skiing and hiking take place in 7 days and raid by mountain bike in 4 days. Accommodation is in rustic chalets, self-catering or with luggage transport. The trail is well marked but not mechanically traced in winter making exceptional the backcountry skiing experience.

La Traversée de Charlevoix is affiliated with the prestigious Trans Canada Trail and the Québec National Trail.  Also, a network of short day hiking trails is available for hiking or snowshoeing with or without accommodation.

Vallée Bras-du-Nord

With 80 km of trails for hiking and snowshoeing, 149 km of mountain biking paths including 65 km of singletracks and a 17.5 km river run, Vallée Bras-du-Nord is the ideal outdoor destination! We also offer activities such as canyoning, via ferrata, fat bike and back-country skiing.

With its magnificent falls and its breathtaking viewing points, Vallée Bras-du-Nord is one little piece of heaven for the outdoors enthusiasts!

 

Parc régional de la rivière Gentilly

The Parc régional de la rivière Gentilly offers quality accommodations in the heart of nature.  It has a campground, chalets, as well as ready-to-camp units.  

Activities: hiking, moutain biking and family activities. Open during the winter season! Trails for snowhoeing, Ski Hok (rental) and fatbike  (bicycle for rental) are available.  

The Parc régional de la rivière Gentilly is a go-to destination to discover Bécancour and its region, just a few minutes from Trois-Rivières. Close to Moulin Michel, Centre de la Biodiversité du Québec and Musée des Religions du monde.

Parc régional du Mont-Saint-Joseph

Outdoor mecca in Baie-des-Chaleurs

Mont-Saint-Joseph offers an exceptional area for outdoor enthusiasts: 35 km of hiking trails, 24 km of mountain bike trails (including 18 km of single track trails), a climbing wall sanctioned by the FQME, and 20 km of winter trails for fatbike, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and walking in the heart of Carleton-sur-Mer. After your excursion, head to the summit for a night of glamping in one of our geodomes built on a mountainside. Along the way, explore the chapel built in 1935 and our large belvedere, which offers a breathtaking view of Baie-des-Chaleurs. At the Visitor Centre, you will learn more about our history and the Mi'gmaq Nation, for whom Mont Saint-Joseph is an important gathering place.

Destination Outstanding Adventure Vacation

A four season destination, open year round, the regional Park Montagne du Diable is a 100 km 2 playground paradise for outdoor enthusiasts.

Our park offers a wide range of activities including hiking, classic cross-country, skate, Nordic, and hok skiing, snowshoeing, biking, both mountain and fat, canoe / kayak or SUP. Extend your vacation by spending the night in a camp cabin in the Village des Batisseurs at the foot of the mountain or a day shelter or log cabin at the summit.

For 30 years now, the Groupe Plein Air Terrebonne has been offering the population the opportunity to learn outdoor sports in an affordable and friendly manner. Carbure Aventure

Carbure Aventure is managing the activities on Base de plein air André-Nadeau, on which it offers snow tubing, fatbike and snowshoe rentals, aswell as animated activites for families. The organism also offers specialised outdoor summer camps about outdoor adventure and mountain biking. These camps, based at Mont-Bellevue, built the reputation of the team, equally by the quality and innovation of the services. Dynamism, cooperation, education and innovation are at the core of our identity.  

 

Parc régional des Grandes-Coulées

The parc régional des Grandes-Coulées is a must for outdoor activities in the L'Érable region! It includes two areas accessible for free. The Forêt ancienne counts 10 km of trails along the beautiful Rivière Noire plus its many activities for the family: fishing, hiking, biking, bikejoring, canicross, hebertism, GPS rally, bird watching and eclusive rental for a night in a rustic accommodation. The Grande tourbière, becoming a protected ecological reserve, has 3 km of trails including 1,2 km of boardwalk. Access is free from sunrise to sunset. Dogs on a leash at all times are accepted (in the Forêt Ancienne area only)!

Parc Régional du Bois de Belle-Rivière

An enchanting site for the whole family 

The Bois de Belle-Rivière Regional Park, located in the heart of the Mirabel region, welcomes you in an enchanting setting summer and winter. Here you can enjoy hiking on our many forest trails, cycling, fishing in the pond, disc golf on our 18-basket course, and take advantage of our swimming facilities including our Naya pool and water games or have a picnic.

Also, come skate on our exceptional ice trail in the maple grove or go tubing from the top of our lookout. In addition, we welcome your canine friends on our trails, in our incredible 50,000 square foot dog park and in some of our shelters. You'll have a great time.

This protected forest is traversed by hundred of kilometers of hiking, cross country and snowshoe trails, of varying levels of difficulty.
