Fatbiking

Known for its fat tires that are great on snow, fatbiking is on the rise across Quebec’s snow-covered landscape. A great outdoor activity on rugged terrain and assorted surfaces, hard-core mountain bikers are familiar this new sport’s every secret. Oversized tires make it easy to ride on snow, ice, through mud or sand. Greatly appreciated by fatbike gurus as well as novices too, the bike is specially designed for riding on snow. Certain outfitters offer fatbike and mountain bike rentals.

Parc linéaire Le P'tit Train du Nord

Try walk, run, ride, ski, try… slowing down!

The P'tit Train du Nord is responsible for the development and management of the 234 km multifunctional trail between Mont-Laurier and Bois-des-Filion. From historic railway stations to scenic villages, cycle tourists and other active users can travel on asphalt (65%) or stone dust, enjoying both natural beauty and gourmet breaks. In winter, there is also cross-country skiing over 40 km.

Our mission is to improve active transportation in the Laurentians and develop sports and social uses. We are linked to Route Verte bike paths and 24,000 km of the Great Trail. Together, we are working for the harmonious future of this infrastructure and we are ensuring its sustainability.

Carbure Aventure is managing the activities on Base de plein air André-Nadeau, on which it offers snow tubing, fatbike and snowshoe rentals, aswell as animated activites for families. The organism also offers specialised outdoor summer camps about outdoor adventure and mountain biking. These camps, based at Mont-Bellevue, built the reputation of the team, equally by the quality and innovation of the services. Discover the Parc du Massif du Sud and its beautiful region Chauidières-Appalaches. Winter landscapes are magical. Cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, Hok skiing, and slipping on are in the spotlight. In summer, hiking, mountain biking, hiking, and accommodation in nature (camping, refuge and ready-to-camp) are in the spotlight. The ready-to-camp accommodations provide an opportunity for renewal to reconnect with nature.

The Massif du Sud Regional Park is a must. This outdoor destination stands out for its exceptional environment and the diversity of its recreational offer. Think about it!

Aventure Quatre Saisons

Aventure Quatre Saisons is a growing companie that offer material rental and shuttle services to go down the Red
River in the Laurentians by canoe, kayak, SUP, insulflated canoe and rafting for the white water section. During winter, traditionnal dogsleds ride are the main activity to do. It can also happen to go canicross or fatbike joerring with sled dogs.
Four season adapted, camping in Mongolian yurt is available for one special night with comfort.

The Parc régional de la rivière Gentilly offers quality accommodations in the heart of nature.  It has a campground, chalets, as well as ready-to-camp units.  

Activities: hiking, moutain biking and family activities. Open during the winter season! Trails for snowhoeing, Ski Hok (rental) and fatbike  (bicycle for rental) are available.  

The Parc régional de la rivière Gentilly is a go-to destination to discover Bécancour and its region, just a few minutes from Trois-Rivières. Close to Moulin Michel, Centre de la Biodiversité du Québec and Musée des Religions du monde.

 

 

Parc régional des Appalaches

Created in 1997, in the heart of the Appalachian forest, the Appalachian Park spreads over several sectors with their points of interest where we find eskers, waterfalls, peat bogs, mountains, lakes and rivers.

The Appalachian Park is the perfect place for a variety of outdoor activities. With its network of 140 km of hiking trails and cycling, canoeing on lakes and rivers, mountains with exceptional views, archways, accommodation for all tastes. During the winter, snowshoes and scooters are practiced in many areas of the Park. All trails feature sidewalks, lookouts, walkways and shelters, as well as resort amenities such as shelters and rustic or landscaped campgrounds. In addition, access to the trails is free. Come discover the park with your dog friend.

Dogs are not only welcome, but they are also welcome everywhere. Your faithful companion can hike, camp, sleep in a shelter and even take a ride in a canoe or pontoon!
