For families : Eastern Townships

Playing outdoors with your family should be simple, cost-effective, and most of all, fun! Here in Québec, we are fortunate enough to have access to countless natural spaces with high-quality terrain for a variety of outdoor activities. Regional parks are part of them and are ideal for families who wish to sample the joys of an active lifestyle.

Accessible trails, discounted fees, fun activities, free equipment rental… services vary from one park to another. One thing is for sure: it has never been that easy to play outside. There are about 175 regional parks in Québec and many of them are located a stone’s throw from our communities. Keep an eye out, chances are there is one real close from your home!

All regional parks listed in this directory are ideal for family outdoor activities.?With their services designed for families, these natural playgrounds are the right place for fun, active times outside.

Note: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, some services may be temporarily unavailable. Contact your regional park to verify what’s open and what’s not before you head out.

Parc linéaire Le P'tit Train du Nord

The P'tit Train du Nord is responsible for the development and management of the 234 km multifunctional trail between Mont-Laurier and Bois-des-Filion. From historic railway stations to scenic villages, cycle tourists and other active users can travel on asphalt (65%) or stone dust, enjoying both natural beauty and gourmet breaks.

Our mission is to improve active transportation in the Laurentians and develop sports and social uses. We are linked to Route Verte bike paths and 24,000 km of the Great Trail. Together, we are working for the harmonious future of this infrastructure and we are ensuring its sustainability.
