At the International School for Earth Studies we believe a reciprocal relationship between people and the environment is paramount. Our private nature preserve is the ideal environment to facilitate and reinforce this connection. This experiential course focuses on developing knowledge and skills in: Environmental Literacy, Animal Connection, Outdoor Preparedness and Self-Defense.

Come learn what it means to act as a responsible environmental leader and engaged steward of the environment, develop skills in outdoor preparedness through structured activities in terrestrial and aquatic settings, get to know our Seppala Siberian huskies and our canadian horses, and practice physical skills that promote situational awareness, mindfulness, and self-protection.

Dog Sledding 101 Workshop

Dog Sledding 101 Workshop

Enjoy our 25 km of private trails

During this workshop, you will meet our pack of Seppala Siberian huskies, interact with them in our kennel facility, learn about the equipment, safety protocols and enjoy our 25 km of private trails. The entire experience is about 2.5 hours. You will be on the sled for about 30-60 minutes depending how many people are in your group. There will also be supervised play time.
